The reasons behind planting the moong in the farms are:
- The cultivation of moong helps in Nitrogen fixation in the soil which increases the fertility of the soil.
- It keeps the soil enriched with the required essential components.
- It acts as an organic manure for the soil.
- The growing of moong on the farm is an example of a leguminous crop.
