Scientists name animals and plants using the system that describes the genus and species of the organism. The first word is the genus and the second is the species. The first word is capitalized and the second is not. A binomial name means that it's made up of two words (bi-nomial). Humans are scientifically named Homo sapiens. You may also see an abbreviation of this name as H. sapiens where the genus is only represented by the first letter.

scientist name the plant by using binomial nomenclature that means it has two name one is genus and other one is species.genus starts with citral letter and species with small letter if we want to put the author name also after that species we want to right in capital letter if they are hand written. If they are printed they are written italics and Latin.

For example:-Magnifera indica Linn (mango)

Magnifera is the genus

indica is the species

Linn is the author who discovered the scientific name

I hope it will help for u ☺.
