Gulliver agreed to the conditions set forth for his liberty as that was the only wise decision he could take at that time. He did not want to be a rebel and make the situation worse for himself in that foreign land. Besides, it reflects his attitude towards the other creatures on this planet with whom man needs to coexist. It was not difficult for Gulliver to rise against them, but he comes out as a genial, harmless character who gives importance to every little creation on the planet, be it those diminutive Lilliputians. As per my views, it was his correct decision as he was left on the unusually weird island and as an intelligent sailor, he had to wait and watch and make the condition favorable for him so that he could plan an escape when the right time came.

From the attitude of the emperor of Lilliput, we get an idea that his size is indicative of his intellect. He keeps Gulliver as a captive, admired him as an object of wonder, provided for his food and drink, though it was humongous for them to support a giant like him. He arranges for Gulliver to learn their language and familiarizes Gulliver to the new surroundings. Nevertheless, we come to know the ruler and his ministers as men not farsighted enough to make right decisions.
