Answer:

  • Domination of Rs. 100 notes is 4
  • And domination of Rs. 2000 notes is 44

Explanation:

Given,

Gunnet collected Rs. 88400 for an old age home.

She collected no. of notes such that Rs.2,000 notes are 11 times the no. of Rs. 100 notes

If we assume no. of Rs. 100 notes as x

Then, No. of Rs. 2,000 notes will be 11x

So,

Total currency of Rs. 2000 is :-

→ 2000*11x

→ 22000x

And also, total currency of Rs. 100 notes is :-

→ 100*x

→ 100x

According to the question,

 \rm \implies \: 22000x + 100x = 884000

 \rm \implies \: 22100x = 88400

 \rm \implies \: x =  \dfrac{88400}{22100}

 \rm \implies \: x =  \dfrac{884}{221}

 \rm \implies \: x =4

Number of Rs. 100 is 4

Hence, the number of Rs. 2000 will be :-

→ 11x

→ 11(4)

→ 44
