Answer:

The rate of depreciation of the mobile is 33.33 %

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Purchase value P₀ = 13500 ₹

            Time of depreciation T = 2 years

           Depreciated value = P₁ = 6000 ₹

           Rate of depreciation = R = ?

Solution : Depreciation formula is P₁ = P₀ ( 1 - R/100)^T

               6000 = 13500 (1 - R/100)^2

               6000/13500 = (1 - R/100)^2

                 36/81 =  (1 - R/100)^2

Taking square roots on both sides

                6/9 = 1 - R/100

                  R/100 = 1-6/9

                   R/100 = 1/3

                    R = 33.33 %
