So,

$= > 75\% \: of \: x = 9$

$= > \frac{75}{100} x = 9$

$= > x = \frac{9 \times 100}{75}$

$= > x = 12kg$

Hence,12 kg of gunpowder carry 9kg nitre.

Now,

Let y kg gunpowder contain 2.5 kg of Sulphur.

$= > 10\% \: of \: y \: = 2.5$

$= > \frac{10}{100}y = 2.5$

$= > y = \frac{2.5 \times 100}{10}$

$= > y = 25$

Hence,

25kg of gunpowder carries 2.5 kg Sulphur.

x of 75% =9kg
x of 75/100 =9
3x/4= 9/1
3x =9×4
x= 36/3
x= 12 kg


And,
x of 10% = 2.5 kg
