To Find :  x and y.

Solution:

in parallelogram opposite sides are equal in length

GU = SN

UN = GS

GU = SN

GU = 3y-1

SN = 26

=> 3y - 1 = 26

=> 3y = 27

=> y = 9

UN = GS

UN = 18

GS = 3x

=> 3x  = 18

=> x = 6

Lengths are in cm

x=6 cm, y= 9 cm  is correct options

GIVEN:- GUNS is a parallelogram,

To find the value x and y.

SOLUTION:- Option (C) x= 6 cm and y = 9 cm is correct .

Properties of parallelogram is opposide side are equal and diagonals are unequal.

So, GU = SN .......(i)

GS = UN.........(ii)

By taking (i)

GU = SN

3y - 1 = 26

3y = 26 + 1

3y = 27

y = 27/3

y = 9.

By taking (ii),

GS = UN

3x = 18

x = 18/3

x = 6.

Therefore x = 6cm and y = 9cm.
