Guru Nanak gave equal importance and attention to both Pandits and Jogis. He was quite aware of the practices and also beliefs of Jogis.

He do not like the aspect of Yogis to attain supernatural powers. He also oppose the aspiration of Yogis by doing rigorous physical and mental exercises, so, one can get liberation.

Guru Nanak's preachings say that constant devotion to god while meditation is an alternative method suggested to Jogis."
