1) Some of the major features of a democracy are:

  • The final decision making power rests with those elected by the people.
  • It must be based on a free and fair election.
  • Each adult citizen must have one vote and each vote must have one value.
  • It should rule within limits set by constitutional law and citizens' rights.

2) the arguments of democracy are :-

  • leadership changing which result in instability
  • Democracy is all about political competition and powerplay. There is no scope for morality.
  • So many people have to be consulted in a democracy that it leads to delays.
  • many people need to be consulted to take a decision which leads to delay
  • democracy is based on corruption for its all based on electoral competition.

3) the tricks used by PRI were as follows:-

1) All those who are employed in govt. offices had to attempt its party meetings.

2) Teachers of govt. schools used to forced parents to vote for PRI

3) media , largely ignored the activities of opposition political party except to criticize them.

4) it spent a large sum of money in campaigning.

5) the polling booths were shifted from one place to another in last moment so that the people find it difficult to vote .

Democracy is an act of the people of a given state participating in an election for choosing their leaders out of their own wish and willingness, despite the fact that China normally participates in this elections it is not yet regarded as the democratic country and rather being referred to as a communist society; this is because they chose this as their economic revolution they chose to embrace power and resources sharing equitably.

5)The most common form of democracy in today 's world is representative democracy. Representative democracy or indirect democracy is when people choose to vote for who will represent them in a parliament. This is the most common form of democracy found across the world.
