Here is ur answer :

Electric bill

For example, take an example.

QUESTION :

If a house has two 60 Watt bulbs lighted for 5 hour, a 100 Watt lamp lighted for 2 hour, a 50 Watt TV running for 8 hours and 2 electric fan working for 10 hour of power of 50 Watt , how many electric unit consumed each day. Also find electric energy consumed in the month of April and electricity bill if the cost per unit is rupees 1.80.

ANSWER :

Power = energy / time

Energy = Power × time

We have to use this formula .

Electric energy consumed by two 60 watt bulbs

Power = 60 W = 60 / 1000 = 6 / 100 kW

Time = 5 h

= no. Of bulbs × power × time

= 2 × 6/100 × 5

= 0.6 kWh

___________________

Electric energy consumed by lamp.

Power = 100 W = 100/1000 = 1/10 kW

Time = 2h

= power × time

= 1/10 × 2

= 0.2 kWh

______________________

Electric energy consumed by TV

Power = 50 W = 50/1000 = 5/100 kW

Time = 8h

= power × time

= 5/100 × 8

= 0.4 kWh

_______________________

Electric energy consumed by fans.

No. Of fans = 2

Power = 50 W = 50/1000 = 5/100 kW

Time = 10 h

= No. Of fans × power × time

= 2 × 5/100 × 10

= 1 kWh

____________________

Total electric energy consumed per day.

= 0.6 + 0.4 + 0.2 + 1

= 2.2 kWh

Total electric energy consumed in 30 days

= 30 × 2.2

= 66 kWh

___________________

1 kWh = 1 unit

66 kWh = 66 units

__________

Cost per unit is Rs 1.80

66 units = Rs 66 × 1.80

Rs 118.8

Electricity bill is of Rs 118.8
