guys anybody tell me why the tidal wave in the sea are primarily due to effect of gravitational effect of moon on the earth why is not the function of gravitational force the sun on the earth is not

Recall Newton's Law of gravitation..
Gravitational force is directly proportional to the product of masses and inversely proportional to the square of distance.
The distance between Earth and Sun is too great as compared to that btw Earth and Moon.
Although Moon has a much lower mass than Sun but since the distance factor in denominator is squared , it dominates!
