Explanation:

1.The branch of linguistics and logic concerned with meaning. The two main areas are logical semantics, concerned with matters such as sense and reference and presupposition and implication, and lexical semantics, concerned with the analysis of word meanings and relations between them.

2.Language acquisition is the process by which humans acquire the capacity to perceive and comprehend language (in other words, gain the ability to be aware of language and to understand it), as well as to produce and use words and sentences to communicate.

3.child's natural response when asked for the meaning of a word is to say, "Oh, that's like when ..." -- i.e. the child points to examples from our life (as does Euthyphro with his first answer to Socrates). The child, unlike its English teacher who demands common nature definitions (as does Plato), has understood the logic of our language (i.e. how sense is, as a matter of fact, distinguished from nonsense).

Preface: The topic of this page is very important, because it stands at the foundations of the logic of language, quite contrary to the view of Socrates in ethics and Plato in metaphysics. Why are examples essential to Wittgenstein's later distinction between language with meaning and nonsense? Because most words do not have essential definitions, and therefore examples must be used to explain their use in the language.
