don't worry when Soham bhaiiya is there for maths

Step-by-step explanation:

so basically leap year has 366 days in total instead of ordinary year which consists of 365 days

so we know that 1 week=7 days

hence 366 days=366/7 weeks ie 52 weeks+2 days as 366 can't get divided completely

so now these 2 days are nothing but 2 possible odd days in 366 days

so as there are 52 weeks we can conclude that there must be 52 thursdays in it

so but we just need to focus and should give emphasis on these 2 extra ie 2 odd days

so 2 odd days can be any day our of 7 days

so let us now consider sample space be S

so S={(Sun,Mon),(Mon,Tue),(Tue,Wed),

(Wed,Thurs),(Thurs,Fri),(Fri,Sat)

(Sat,Sun)}

so hence n(S)=7

now let A be the event so as to just get thursdays in any of two pairs

So A={(Wed,Thurs),(Thurs,Fri)}

n(A)=2

so now using

P(A)=n(A)/n(S)

=2/7

hence probability of getting 53 thursdays in leap year is 2/7
