guys listen i asked this question earlier no one answered
now i m again asking it only those who know it answer it and faster because its urgent.
The points a(4,-2) b(7,2) c(0,9) and d(-3,5) forma parallelogram. Find the length of the altitude of the parallelogram on the base ab.
Again i m saying ace,expert or genius or others who know it answer

Here let's find equation of two parallel lines AB and CD
and then apply distance formula between parallel lines
A( 4,-2) B( 7,2)
y - ( -2) = ( 2 -(-2))/ 7-4 .( x -4)
y + 2 = 4/ 3 ( x -4)
3y + 6 = 4x -16
3y -4x = -22
3y -4x +22 = 0
C( 0,9) D( -3,5)
Y - 9 = ( 5 -9)/ -3 . x
y - 9 = 4/3 . x
3y -27 -4x = 0
Now distance between 3y -4x +22 = 0
and 3y - 4x -27 = 0
d= 22 -(-27) )/ √3^2 + 4^2
= 49/ √9+16 = 49/√25 = 49/5
and then apply distance formula between parallel lines
A( 4,-2) B( 7,2)
y - ( -2) = ( 2 -(-2))/ 7-4 .( x -4)
y + 2 = 4/ 3 ( x -4)
3y + 6 = 4x -16
3y -4x = -22
3y -4x +22 = 0
C( 0,9) D( -3,5)
Y - 9 = ( 5 -9)/ -3 . x
y - 9 = 4/3 . x
3y -27 -4x = 0
Now distance between 3y -4x +22 = 0
and 3y - 4x -27 = 0
d= 22 -(-27) )/ √3^2 + 4^2
= 49/ √9+16 = 49/√25 = 49/5
