A face in dark is set on the outskirts of the hill-station of Shimla .Where Oliver , was teaching in a boarding school According to the story the author has created an eerie atmosphere in night time strong winds are blowing pine tree were making mysterious sad sounds ,the batteries of Oliver's torch were running down creating an atmosphere of fear and suspense.
