|2z + 1| = |z – 2i|

SOLUTION

Replace z by (x + iy)

|2(x + iy) + 1| = |x + iy – 2|

|2x + 1 +2iy| = |x + i(y – 2)|

squaring both side, we get

4x² + 1 + 4x +4 y² = x² + y² + 4 - 4y

3(x² + y²) + 4(x + y) = 3
