\underline \bold {Solution:-}

(i)

x + \frac{5}{9} - ( \frac{ - 7}{12} ) = \frac{13}{36} \\ \\ x + \frac{5}{9} + \frac{7}{12} = \frac{13}{36 } \\ \\ x + \frac{5 \times 4}{9 \times 4} + \frac{7 \times 3}{12 \times3 } = \frac{13}{36} \\ \\ x + \frac{20}{36} + \frac{21}{36} = \frac{13}{36} \\ \\ x + \frac{41}{36} = \frac{13}{36} \\ \\ x = \frac{13}{36} - \frac{41}{36} \\ \\ x = \frac{13 - 41}{36} \\ \\ x = \frac{ - 28}{36} \\ \\ x = \frac{ - 7}{9}
(ii)

 \frac{2}{ - 7} + \frac{5}{14} - x = \frac{16}{21} \\ \\ \frac{ - 2 \times 2}{7 \times 2} + \frac{5}{14} - x = \frac{16}{21} \\ \\ \frac{5 - 4}{14} - x = \frac{16}{21} \\ \\ \frac{1}{14} - x = \frac{16}{21} \\ \\ x = \frac{1}{14} - \frac{16}{21} \\ \\ x = \frac{1 \times 3}{14 \times 3} - \frac{16 \times 2}{21 \times 2} \\ \\ x = \frac{3}{42} - \frac{32}{42} \\ \\ x = \frac{3 - 32}{42} \\ \\ x = \frac{ - 29}{42}

Hope the first answer on brainly will be helpful to you.
