2. Deccan plateau is a highly dissected one because of many seasonal rivers flowing across the Deccan plateau.

1. Narmada and Tapi along with other small rivers originating from the Western Ghats and falling in the Arabian Sea form estuaries in place of deltas. This is due to the fact that these rivers, especially Narmada and Tapi, flow through hard rocks and are not able to form distributaries before they enter the sea.
