1.7 {x}^{3}  - 6 + 2.4 {x}^{2}  = 1.7 {x}^{3}  + 2.4 {x}^{2}  - 6

3.7 {x}^{2}  + 2 + 2.4 {x}^{3}  = 2.4 {x}^{3}  + 3.7 {x}^{2}  + 2

3.7 {x}^{2}  + 2 + 2.4 {x}^{3}  - (1.7 {x}^{3}  - 6 + 2.4 {x}^{2} )

 = 2.4 {x}^{3} + 3.7 {x}^{2} + 2 - (1.7  {x}^{3}   + 2.4 {x}^{2}  - 6)

 = 2.4 {x}^{3}  + 3.7 {x}^{2}  + 2 - 1.7 {x}^{3}   -  2.4 {x}^{2}  + 6

 = (2.4 - 1.7) {x}^{3}  + (3.7 - 2.4) {x}^{2}  + 2 + 6

 = 0.7 {x}^{3}  + 1.3 {x}^{2} + 8

{\huge{\underline{\boxed{\red{\mathcal{Answer}}}}}}

To Do:

  • Subtract (1.7x^3 - 6 + 2.4x^2) from (3.7x^2 + 2 + 2.4x^3)

Solution:

 :\longrightarrow (3.7x^2 + 2 + 2.4x^3) - (1.7x^3 - 6 + 2.4x^2) \\:\longrightarrow 3.7x^2 + 2 + 2.4x^3 - 1.7x^3 + 6 - 2.4x^2 \\:\longrightarrow 2.4x^3 - 1.7x^3 + 3.7x^2 - 2.4x^2 + 2 + 6 \\\bf{:\longrightarrow 0.7x^3 + 1.3x^2 + 8}

Hope it helps!
