Given:

  • Sania had \sf{\dfrac{13}{36}kg} of washing powder.
  • She used \sf{\dfrac{1}{9}kg} of the washing powder.

To Find :

  • The amount of washing powder left with Sania.

Concept Used:

  • The amounts are in fraction ,so we will use the algorithm to subtract fractions.
  • We will subtract the used amount from the initial amount.

Solution:

Its given that initially Sania had \sf{\dfrac{13}{36}kg} of powder.

And she used \sf{\dfrac{1}{9}kg} of the washing powder.

So for finding the remaining washing powder we will subtract the amount of used powder from initial amount of washing powder.

=\sf{\dfrac{13}{36}kg-\dfrac{1}{9}kg}

=\sf{\dfrac{13-4}{36}kg}

=\sf{\dfrac{9}{36}kg}

=\sf{\dfrac{1}{4}kg}

Hence she was left with \sf{\bold{\dfrac{1}{4}kg}} of washing powder.
