7. By pythagoras theorem we can find the. hypotenuse.

Height² + Base² = Hypotenuse²

hypotenuse =  \sqrt{ {6}^{2} +  {8}^{2}  }  =  \sqrt{100}  = 10

Therefore hypotenuse = 10 cm

8. Diagonal² = Length² + Breadth²

diagonal =  \sqrt{ {40}^{2}  +  {30}^{2} }  =  \sqrt{2500}  = 50

Therefore diagonal = 50 cm

AB=8cm , BC=6cm

by pythagoras theorem

(AC)²=(AB)²+(BC)²

AC²= (8)²+(6)²

AC²=64+ 36

AC²=100

AC= root100

AC= 10cm
