= 4x = 9+y [Equation1]

 = x =  \frac{9 + y}{4}

Substituting the value of x from Equation1,

=

 \frac{9 + y}{ 4}  + y = 6

 =  \frac{9 + 5y}{4} = 6

 = 9 + 5y = 24

 = 5y = 15

 = y = 3

Now, substitute the value of y in Equation1,

=

x =  \frac{9 + 3}{4}

x =  \frac{12}{4} = 3

Hence, x = 3

and y is also = 3
