the hexagon is divided into different parts in which there are 2 ∆'s, 1 sq. and 1 trapezium.

so,

area of sq.= Side²

= 4²

= 16cm²

area of ∆ABC = ½ × base × height

= ½ × 8 × 5

= ½ × 40

= 20cm²

area of ∆(2) = ½ × base × height

= ½ × 6.2 × 4

= ½ × 24.8

= 12.4cm²

area of trapezium = 2(sum of ll sides)/base

= 2(10.2 + 8.4)/4

= 18.6/ 2

= 9.3cm²

total area = 16 + 20 + 9.3 + 12.4

= 36 + 21.7

= 57.7 cm²
