hey mate here is ur ans
take the length of train is X m long
first change the speed in km/hr to m/s
so 45*5/18=12.5m/s
for crossing the platform the train has to travel the distance which is equal to the Sum of the length of the train and length of the platform
=(400+x)m
time taken =distance /speed
=>400+x/12.5=40
=>400+x=12.5*40=500
=>x=500-400=100m
so the length of the train is 100m
