भाषा में वर्णों की जो बनावट होती है अर्थात इन्हें लिखने का जो ढंग है उसे लिपि कहते हैं ।
हिंदी और संस्कृत भाषा की लिपि ' देवनागरी' है ।
उर्दू भाषा की लिपि 'फारसी' है ।
पंजाबी भाषा की लिपि गुरुमुखी तथा अंग्रेजी भाषा की लिपि रोमन है ।
