Answer:

SSR is Senior Secondary recruitment. It is just like as sipahi in Indian Army or you can say General duty. Though in Navy it is bit different. After you get recruited and basic training of four months, recruits are given different branch according to there skill as there are many branches in Navy like Seaman, Aviation, Logistics, Communication. And they proceed to have professional training for the branch they are given. To be noted it is not an officer post but it is just like jawan or you can say sipahi as in Indian army.
