To Find -
- What are the Tensions in the string connecting weights A to B and B to C?
Now,
In Block A :-
- T¹ - mg = ma
In Block B :-
- T² + mg - T¹ = ma
In Block C :-
- mg - T² = ma
Adding A and B :-
⇝T¹ - mg + T² + mg - T¹ = ma + ma
⇝T² = 2ma
Now,
Substituting the value of T² on mg - T² = ma, we get :-
⇝mg - 2ma = ma
⇝mg = 3ma
⇝a = g/3
Now,
Substituting the value of a on T¹ - mg = ma, to get T¹ :-
⇝T¹ = mg/3 + mg
