Problem No. 1 :

• Calculate the total amount by adding all the items' cost.

Total amount

= 3200 + 2400 + 1200 + 1200 + 800 + 800

= 9600

• Find proportion of each item as follows.

Rent = \frac{3200}{9600} = 0.33

Food = \frac{2400}{9600} = 0.25

Clothing = \frac{1200}{9600} = 0.125

Education = \frac{1200}{9600} = 0.125

Entertainment = \frac{800}{9600} = 0.083

Saving = \frac{800}{9600} = 0.083

• Calculate the angle between the two sides of each pie slide.

Rent = 0.33 * 360° = 118.8°

Food = 0.25 * 360° = 90°

Clothing = 0.125 * 360° = 45°

Education = 0.125 * 360° = 45°

Entertainment = 0.083 * 360° = 29.88°

Saving = 0.083 * 360° = 29.88°

• Draw a circle using a compass and draw a radius to it.

• Put the protractor on the circle's radius and keep drawing angle sections for each pie slice.

• Finally when the drawing is finished, you may proceed to colourise.

• See the first photo.

Problem No. 2 :

• Calculate the total no. of hours by adding all the activities.

Total no. of hours

= 8 + 8 + 1 + 3 + 4

= 24

• Find proportion of each activity as follows.

School = \frac{8}{24} = 0.33

Sleeping = \frac{8}{24} = 0.33

Playing = \frac{1}{24} = 0.041

Studying = \frac{3}{24} = 0.125

Others = \frac{4}{24} = 0.17

• Calculate the angle between the two sides of each pie slide.

School = 0.33 * 360° = 118.8°

Sleeping = 0.33 * 360° = 118.8°

Playing = 0.041 * 360° = 14.76°

Studying = 0.125 * 360° = 45°

Others = 0.17 * 360° = 61.2°

• Draw a circle using a compass and draw a radius to it.

• Put the protractor on the circle's radius and keep drawing angle sections for each pie slice.

• Finally when the drawing is finished, you may proceed to colourise.

• See the second photo.

Problem No. 3 :

• Draw two rectangular axes ( x axis horizontally and y axis vertically ).

• Label the axes with favourite subjects and their respective students.

• Draw bars as high / long as you need them to. { Like, Chemistry is favourite to 25 students, so draw the bar upto the 24 labelled mark. }
