Gyser has higher resistance so it should take lesser current because current wants to go to the path having lesser resistance so light should not get dim rather it should be brighter than before. But why this does not happen?

Answer:

  • bulb. Two bulbs are connected in parallel. ... Therefore, the bulb with the lower resistance will shine brighter. This happens because bulbs in parallel both have the same voltage across them, and therefore, more current will flow through the bulb with less resistance.
