We know that the product of any two numbers is equal to the product of their LCM and HCF ⤵


↪ product of two numbers = LCM × HCF






Putting value from the question,

8 × 96 = 24 × other number

 \frac{8 \times 96}{24}  = other \: number \\  \\  \\  =  >  \frac{8 \times \cancel{96} \:  \:  ^{4} }{ \cancel{24}}  = other \: number \\  \\  \\  =  > 8 \times 4 =  \: other \: number \\  \\  \\  \bold{ =  > 32 =  other \: number}





Hence, Other number is 32
