After doing the prime factorisation of both of them, we come to know

1116 = 2 × 2 × 3 × 3 × 31

465 = 3 × 5 × 31

Since 3 and 31 is common in both of them, their HCF is 3 × 31 = 93.

ThePhoenix: nope, why?
ThePhoenix: this was taught in 6th grade...everyone knows how to prime factorise
