Heya friend here is your ans

Once you've given the exam, and the results are out, your top 5 subjects (the ones in which you have scored the maximum marks) are automatically selected & the best of five percentage is calculated. This is the percentage which appears on the official Board Marksheet and it is the one used for the junior college admissions, i.e., 11th standard.

Please note that subjects such as History and Geography are clubbed together under Social Studies as a single subject, and are not separate.

For example, my Board Subjects were

1.English

2.Mathematics (Algebra & Geometry combined)

3.Marathi

4.Social Studies

5.Science (Paper 1 and Paper 2)

6.Hindi/German Composite

As you can see, there are only 6 subjects, out of which 5 are selected (though the number of papers you write may be more).

Hope it helped you
