As per the ques

x+1/x = a+ b...........1)

x-1/x=a-b. .............2)

Adding both equations we get,

=>2x. =a+b+a-b
2x = 2a

x= a

hence value of x = a

Answer:

x = a

Step-by-step explanation:

Given, x+\dfrac{1}{x}=a+b

Also, x-\dfrac{1}{x}=a-b

From above, add x + 1 / x and x - 1 / x

\implies \bigg(x +\dfrac{1}{x} \bigg)+\bigg( x- \dfrac{1}{x} \bigg) =(a+b)+(a-b)\\\\\\\implies x + \dfrac{1}{x} +x -\dfrac{1}{x} = a + b + a - b \\\\\\\implies x + x + \dfrac{1}{x} - \dfrac{1}{x} = a + a + b - b \\\\\\\implies 2x = 2a \\\\\implies x = a

Therefore the value of x is a.

Anonymous: put x as a in x+1/x so a+1/a = a+b
Anonymous: 1/a=b
Anonymous: so 1/x=b
Anonymous: x=1/b so these r the answers
Anonymous: isn't it??
Anonymous: x = a , 1/b
