So, considering Δ ABC from the rectangle ABCD, we have

∠B = 90°

AB = base = 35 cm

BC = perpendicular = 12 cm

AC = Hypotenuse

According to the Pythagoras theorem, we get

Hypotenuse² = Perpendicular² + Base²

⇒ AC² = BC² + AB²

substituting the values of AB & BC

⇒ AC² = 12² + 35²

⇒ AC² = 144 + 1225

⇒ AC² = 1369

⇒ AC = √1369

AC = 37 cm

Thus, the length of the diagonal of that rectangle is → 37 cm.
