Answer:

A gerund is the -ing form of a verb that functions the same as a noun

for eg :- "Running is fun"

so the above sentence contains the -ing form of a verb so running is a gerund

Adding  -ing to the base form of a verb creates present participle or in simple terms, we can say that participle is an adjective made from a verb

for eg:-  eat is the base form of  the verb to eat so the present participle of eat is eating

1] - gerund is irritating, the participle is irritate

2] - gerund is having, the participle is have

3]- gerund is listening, the participle is listen

4]- gerund is coming, the participle is comes

5]- gerund is skipping, the participle is skip

6]- gerund is learning, the participle is learn

7]- gerund is collecting, the participle is collect

10]- gerund is running, the  participle is run

11]- gerund is working, the  participle is work

12]- gerund is tying and something, the participle is some

[Note- Tying has no participle]

13]- gerund is feeling, the  participle is feel

14]- gerund is helping, the  participle is help

15]- gerund is having, the  participle is have

16]- gerund is being, the  participle is be
