Energy needs to be conserved not only to cut costs but also to preserve the resources for longer use. As of today, most of the energy is generated from coal powered power plants. These plants do generate energy but also pollute the environment by emitting harmful gases in the atmosphere.

We should conserve forests because they are essential for us in the following terms: Forest provide us with oxygen, they cause rainfall. Forest prevents soil erosion. Plants are dependent on animals and birds for their pollination and seed dispersal.

h) Though our planet The Earth is blessed with numerous resources, but as very well said by Gandhi ji " There is enough for NEED, but nothing for GREED ".

Therefore with the growing demand for energy, we are exploiting the natural resources for energy to the top extent.

We left no stone unturned to get higher production of energy.

All these greedy steps, led to the shortage of our energy resources. To cope up with future demand for energy, we need to take a step towards its conservation.

i) Earlier, more than 71% of the Earth total coverage was forests.But ,due to the growth of industrialisation and modernization ,we are facing dearth of forests.

Forests are home to many indispensable creatures and plants.But due to our greediness many species of plants and animals had have been wiped out.Many others are endangered.

Therefore,now we can't afford more deforestation. We should encourage greenery

with all our might so that our next generation could thrive peacefully on the Earth.
