Question....

40 litres of milk contains 10% of water.
Find the quantity of water to be added to the milk so that it may contain 20% water.

Answer-5 litres.

Amount of water = 10% = 10/100x 40=4 liters amount of milk 40-4=36 liters.

Milk 10 = 40 liter; water 100 = 1 liter; mixture 20= 40l x l= 10*40 + 100x = 20 (40+x)x=5.

The answer is 5 liters of water.
