H2O2 is decomposed to H2O and O2 in the following
sequence of reactions :
H2O2(aq)+I−(aq)→H2O(I)+IO−(aq)
H2O2(aq)+IO−(aq)→H2O(I)++O2(g)+I−(aq)
(1)Write the chemical equation for the overall reaction.
2) Identify the species that acts as a catalyst.
