H2S gas is acidic or basic in nature?????

H2S gas is neither acidic nor basic i.e. it is neutral in gaseous form but if we make its aqueous solution it releases hydronium ion H+and S2-  ion. Now if we check the nature of solution by acid base indicator like litmus paper, it changes into red which is the indicator of acidic solution. This acidic nature of aqueous solution is due to release of hydronium ion.
