H2S is more acidic because the SH- anion is bigger hence the charge is better distributed, and I suppose because the S-H bond is weaker. ... Since we defined water to be neutral, it is NOT defined as either as an acid or a base; it is neutral. HF and H2S (in comparison to water) are acidic, while NH3 is basic.
