H2S is less acidic than H2Te. Why?

Hi mate!!

➡️Due to the decrease in bond (E -H ) dissociation enthalpy down the group acidic character increases.

» The nature/character depends upon the bond dessociation enthalpy.

» And, we know that H2Te has less bond dessociation enthalpy than H2S, therefore less energy is required to break the bond of H2Te.

» Hence, acidity of H2Te is more than H2S or acidity of H2S is less then that of H2Te.
