By using equation method
Let : a(H2S )+ b(O2 )= c(H2O ) + d(SO2)
Now
H : a = c
O : 2b = c + 2d
S : a = d
( Let a = 1 , you can take any of them 1 which is most common )
Now
H : 1= c
O : 2b= 1 + 2d , 2b = 1+ 2 , b= 3/2
S : 1 = d
Now put the values of a ,b ,c, ,d in equation
1(H2S) + 3/2 (02) = 1(H2O ) + 1(SO2)
Multiply by 2 on both sides for removing fraction
2H2S + 3O2 = 2H2O + 2SO2
H = 2 ( On both sides )
S=2 (on both sides )
O = 6 ( on both sides )
Hence balanced
