Yes, ofcourse India is a democratic country…..

Democracy is a form of government in which all eligible citizens participate equally either directly or through elected representatives—in the proposal, development, and creation of laws. It encompasses social, economic and cultural conditions that enable the free and equal practice of political self-determination.

India is a democratic country because :

Elections are held after a period of five years.

Citizens are provided with a choice for chooisng their representative. In other words, in India many political parties participate in elections.

People enjoy freedom of speech and expression.

All the citizens of India are treated equally.

All things are transpirancy like bill , acts, law and order , and these things make india democracy……

Hope u like it. :-)

Thank you…:-):-)
