✍️ Anne entitled the November a chapter
' Ode to My Fountain Pen In Memoriam'
in memory of her fountain pen which had always been one of her most prized possessions.
✍️ She valued it highly because it had a thick nib and she was only comfortable with writing neatly with thick nibs.
✍️The pen had been her partner through countless diaries and compositions.
✍️But that pen was destroyed one day when it was engulfed in a flame from the stove and being highly inflammable,it did not survive the fire.
✍️ Anne took it as the cremation of her pen, a small consolation for her. She writes that just like her pen even she would like to be cremated someday.
✍️This serves as a grim reminder of what lay in store for Anne,of death and destruction by fire that was going on around her. Jews were being burnt alive in concentration camps and Anne also had that lying in store for her.
♣ Now, does anybody know what fountain pen Anne might possibly have owned?
✍️ It might've been a Montblanc.
✍️ Since the pen doesn't exist anymore, I suppose this might be a hard question to answer.
✍️ But I thought this might make for some interesting reading-material, if nothing more.
