No she did not have friends.

• The question has been asked from the story The Fun they had.
• Margie figured it would be a lot of fun going to school and catching up with her friends. She decided to meet and chitchat with her classmates, have lunch and also learn and play with them. She felt it was interesting because she had never done this kind of stuff.
• As opposed to Margie 's school, there was no contact between students. She thought it was a boring idea to study, learn and also answer the questions as they were being taught virtually and from mechanical teachers.
