Define x:
Let the marks be x
Solve x:
9 times of 10 more marks and his marks will be the square of his marks
9(x + 10) = x²
9x + 90 = x²
x² - 9x - 90 = 0
(x - 15) ( x + 6) = 0
x = 15 or x = - 6( negative, therefore rejected)
Answer: He scored 15 marks.
