hey! Ravita's actual marks is 15 out of 30
let actual marks be x
according to question
x^2=9(x+10)
x^2=9x+90
x^2-9x-90=0

now you can bring answer by factorize by middle term splitting nethod

Given:

Total Marks = 30

More Marks = 10

Square marks = 9 times

To Find:

Total marks received in the test

Solution:

Let the marks scored by Ravita be = x

Thus, according to the question -

x² = 9 (x+10)

x² = 9x+90

x² -9x-90 =0

x² -15x+6x-90=0

x(x-15)+6(x-15)=0

(x-15)(x+6)=0

Therefore  x = 15  and -6

Since, the marks can not be negative, thus they are 15.

Answer: The marks scored by Ravita are 15 out of 30.
