the himalayas help in forming Indias geography in many ways . they act as a natural border against the neighbouring countries towards the north. they also stop the monsoon rainclouds from moving north without it, the whole of India would probably be barren. they also are the source of many north Indian rivers,so without them the northern indo gangetic plains ,one of the world's most fertile landscapes would be left infertile. this would stop one of the civilizations ,the indus Valley civilization from settling in things valley.this would also aryans from even coming to India and the vedic culture would be lost
