haemoglobin contains 0.25% iron by weight. The molecular weight of haemoglobin is 896000. Calculate the number of iron atom per molecule of haemoglobin.

Mass % of Fe in Hemoglobin = Mass of one Fe/ Mass of Hb(given) X 100

0.25 = x/89600 X 100
x = 224g.

therefore, 224/56 = 4 atoms
