Using distributive property, we can say that
(8 + 0.2) X (8 + 0.7)   ............(i)

Now, let us recall an identity ...
Yeah.... the identity which we will use here is ........
(x + a) (x+b) = x² + (a+b)x +ab           ........... (ii)

Now, according to this identity 
x = 8 
a = 0.2, and 
b = 0.7

Comparing ......(i) and .....(ii), we get
Putting these values in identity 

(8)² + (0.2 + 0.7) 8 + 0.2 X 0.7 
=> 64 + 0.9 X 8 + 0.14
=> 64 + 7.2 + 0.14
=> 71.34...

Hence, the answer is 71.34 and the identity which is used here is (x + a) (x+b) = x² + (a+b)x +ab ..
